Financials: Jane Loughnan is returning

.	Balance @ 31/1/05 = $7173.17
·	Conference expenses all paid
·	Sponsorship from ACC totalling $1000 outstanding
·	$300 conference fees outstanding

·	Duffill Watts & Tse Ltd contracted by GWRC to conduct community
        audits at rail stations.  Ina Smart, Alexia Pickering, Steve
        Abley and Bunny Warren led this process at request of DW&T,
        at cost of $2000. 
        Once this money is received by LSA, those people involved will be
        reimbursed.
        * Four LSA people involved to evaluate process of audit
        * LSA to look at whether this is right costing

Celia moved thank you to those involved in audit.  


Wellington

Yellow Feet
·	Have been reprinted with minor adjustments
·	Distributed via WCC e.g. to schools encouraging "Safer Routes
        to School"
·	Thanks to Mike Mellor in finalising
·	Thanks to Road Safety Coordinators

Action: Robert Davies & Mike Mellor to put onto website

Launch:	
·	Media event * lunchtime 28 February? Mobility scooter, push
        chair & toddler?
·	Dominion Post & Wellingtonian newspapers
·	Stage vehicle on footpath with numerous feet attached over
        vehicle (Ralph has kindly offered his car)
·	Where??
·	Consult with Parkwise and part of media launch?
·	Launch that evening with stakeholders to discuss and to express
        thank you to all involved

Action: Draft media event to circulate to Parkwise, Road Safety etc who
        have been involved

Island Bay Festival Walk
·	Not accessible
·	2.30pm 20 February
·	Meet at band rotunda
·	Walk is exploring shortcuts between streets, along steps and
        zigzags and reserves along the eastern hills of Island Bay


"Stepping Out"
·	5 Tuesdays in March will be lead lunchtime walks
·	Celia would like assistance with these


National

HSC bid
·	Proposal as part of HSC bid to MoT to help implement Walking and
        Cycling strategy.
·	Proposal includes position of Walking Coordinator (Director) 
·	Four projects suggested as initial outcomes/outputs
·	Recruitment and Management policies drafted for position of
        Director
·	Director to be responsible to LSA but contracted to HSC

Action: Job description drafted (once finalisation of MoT bid)

·	Proposal to HSC to include following:
        a) setting up , strengthening and documenting local walking networks
           across NZ
        b) community street audits - more systematic work on these in NZ, 
           complementary to Land Transport NZ work
        c) pedestrian maps - broad set of pilots including signage, community 
           consultation with different community groups, different styles and 
           evaluation of use/uptake etc.
        d) collection of information on who's doing what where both for the
           groups as mentioned in a) and for actual initiatives such as Sport
           Northland's 10000 steps project.

·	Alexia moved that (a) through (d) of projects listed make up
        core of proposal and that Celia, someone from HSC, Mike and Bunny form
        core of recruitment group.  Seconded by Debs.



LSA Strategic Plan
·	Bunny has prepared initial document for key outputs for LSA by
        2010 (to be circulated via email)
·	"How to do Conference" notes for future reference compiled
        by Bunny
