DOC Information: South Marlborough Area tracks and walks

Much of South Marlborough is upland tussock grassland cut by three major rivers, the Wairau, Awatere and Clarence. There are forested mountains in the north-east at Isolated Hill and along the north bank of the Wairau. Recreation opportunities include exploring the Kaikoura Peninsula and Mt Richmond Forest Park.
