Some of our files are stored in PDF format. To view these you need a copy of Adobe PDF reader or an equivalent piece of software. If you don't have this, it a can be downloaded from Adobe. This is a large file. You may be able to get a copy from the shop where you bought your computer.
We are tending to use the Adobe-Acrobat version 6 format as this gives better file compression than the earlier version. You may have to update your version of Adobe Reader to version 6 or later.
To view large PDF files, you will probably have more success if you download the file first and store it on some convenient place on your computer.
To download PDF files to your disk, hold down the shift key when you click the link in Netscape or right-click the link in Internet Explorer, Firefox or Opera.
Windows Firefox users may find that Firefox freezes when trying to read a PDF file. Apparently Firefox has a plugin for PDF files that doesn't work on some systems. Try updating to the latest version of Firefox. Try saving the file as described above. Or you may have more success with Internet Explorer.
