Tuesday walkers about to go up Prince Street steps.John Plimmer statueThe Tuesday lunchtime walks are to be continued - here are the proposed dates and starting points. Treat these as slightly tentative - check this site for updates.

Meets Tuesdays at Plimmer statue (man and dog) at the bottom of Plimmer Steps, and if for anyone who is able to walk fairly briskly and needs to be back within the hour. Anyone who is retired or not employed is of course welcome to join us as well.

There may be points of historic or scenic or political interest noted along the way but the primary aim is to keep fit and the secondary aim is to learn about useful shortcuts in the city. There will usually be steps so no prams or wheelchairs, please (O.K. for walk 6 - Queen's wharf walk). Medium walking pace.

Walks usually include a park e.g. Botanic Gardens, Kelburn Park, Mount Street Cemetery.

Sensible shoes needed - trainers recommended, otherwise ordinary day clothes fine - suggest sun-block/hat and water bottle if you like.

The leader will be there - RAIN or SHINE or GALES.

More details: contact tuesday.wellington at livingstreets.org.nz or 027 483 6691 or 383 6691

Meet at 12:25, off at 12:30.
