Walk Wellington, which provides guided walking tours around Wellington, is a not-for-profit operation under the Living Streets Aotearoa umbrella. For more information about Walk Wellington visit their website www.walk.wellington.net.nz.
Do you love showing visitors around your city? Become a Walk Wellington volunteer guide.
We're looking for volunteer guides - people who are enthusiastic and passionate about Wellington, and who enjoy meeting people. You'll need excellent communication skills and a real ability to relate to a range of people.
Walk Wellington runs guided walks around central Wellington. It has been operating independently but has now become part of Living Streets Aotearoa in order to make it sustainable in the longer term.
As a volunteer guide you'll meet great people - Wellingtonians and visitors alike - and learn a lot about this fabulous city.
There is a selection process for you to go through before becoming a guide and if you are successful you'll receive full training. Guiding will take only three to five hours of your time each month (more if you want) and your costs will be reimbursed for each tour you guide.
Our ongoing information programme will keep you informed of all the latest developments in the city, regional attractions and facilities.
