Greymouth Walk2work event

Date:
Wed, 10/03/2010 - 07:30

Walkers received a free breakfast or afternoon snack when walking to and from work and school.

Location; Anzac Park

Greymouth workers were invited to leave their cars at Anzac Park for Walk2work Day on March 10th and walk to work from there. Only a 1.5km (approx fifteen minute) walk into town! Participants who dropped their cars off anytime between 7.30am and 8.45am could collect afree breakfast treats, spot prizes and vouchers.

West Coast workplaces are also gearing up for Walk2Work Wednesdays over the month of March.  A number of West Coast businesses are taking up the challenge and are encouraging staff to walk each Wednesday over the month of March.  Great prizes are up for grabs and the more Wednesdays walked, the more chances of winning.
