Tuesday Lunchtime Wellington Walks

Tuesday Lunchtime Wellington Walks 2024 start at Plimmer statue (the man with his dog) at the base of Plimmer Steps on Lambton Quay every Tuesday at 12.30pm from 13 February to 26 November.

These Civic walks are designed to last less than 1 hour so that those who work in the city can get back to work on time.

The aim of the Wellington walks is to show people shortcuts around the city as well as historical and modern points of interest and at the same time allow people to keep fit in good company.

On the second Tuesday of each month the walks begin with a trip in either a bus or cable-car in order to get further out of the city. We then walk back into town. You will need to bring money to cover the cost of the fare on those days.

Sensible shoes should be worn, trainers recommended, otherwise ordinary clothes are fine.

An email detailing where the walk is going and the grade of the walk is sent out each week prior to the walk. Please register your email address with Ron (see contact details below).

The leader will be there - RAIN or SHINE or GALES.
