Council responds favourable to pedestrian and elderly concerns (Far North DC)

Media release Over $1.5 million has been committed by the Far North District Council over the next 12 months in an programme to progressively upgrade the Far North’s footpath network. The 2006/07 programme provides for increased spending on footpath repairs and maintenance ($190,000), additional spending on footpath extensions ($350,000) and a substantial investment (over $1 million) on footpath renewal projects across the district.
