This area includes a variety of landscapes for visitors including Mt Richmond Forest Park, the forested southern part of Abel Tasman National Park, and the mountainous headwaters of the Karamea and Motueka Rivers which form part of Kahurangi National Park. The steep, native forest-clad mountain country is popular with trampers and hunters.
