There are several events being organised, leading up to and on the Walk2Work day.

One of the challenges that is taking place is the iWay challenge where everyone's steps is collected and together forms one long walk.

iWalk

The challenge for Hawke’s Bay residents is to walk from Te Mata Peak to Bluff at the bottom of the South Island, a total of 1300km’s in two months. iWay Project Manager Owen Mata says entries will be accepted from a team of five walkers or individuals and the pedometers can be worn at work, at home or to see friends – anywhere you go on foot. Check out and register to help the Hawkes Bay community walk from Te Mata peak to Bluff.

Log your daily kms on the website www.iwalk.co.nz and watch your progress mapped, along with landmarks passed
